Common Questions
Does the welding hurt?
Not at all. The micro-weld takes a fraction of a second and you won't feel any heat. A small shield protects your skin during the process.
Can I remove it?
Yes — simply cut the chain with wire cutters whenever you want. We can also re-weld it for a small fee if you need to remove it temporarily (surgery, travel, etc.).
Is it safe for MRI / TSA?
TSA — yes, fine jewelry doesn't set off metal detectors. MRI — you'll need to cut it off before the scan (hospital policy). We recommend gold-filled or solid gold for durability.
Can I shower / swim with it?
Yes. Gold-filled and solid gold are waterproof and won't tarnish. Sterling silver may darken over time with water exposure but can be polished.
